Connecting a Streaming Service

Guide to linking Spotify, Apple Music, and other supported DSP services.

Overview

StrmFarm is built as a playback-engine architecture that connects with your preferred Digital Service Provider (DSP). Your music continues streaming directly through your existing provider account.

Supported Streaming Services

  • Spotify: Requires an active Spotify Premium subscription to allow programmatic playback control and track verification.
  • Apple Music: Requires an active Apple Music subscription and MusicKit authorization on your device.
  • YouTube Music: Supports playback through standard account integration.

How to Connect Your DSP

1. Open the StrmFarm mobile app and navigate to Profile > Settings.

2. Tap Connected DSPs.

3. Select your provider and follow the secure authorization prompt.

4. Once connected, your active DSP will be displayed in your player controls as your playback engine.

Troubleshooting Playback

  • If music stops unexpectedly, ensure your streaming account is not actively playing audio on another device.
  • Verify that your subscription status on the connected DSP remains active.
  • If necessary, disconnect and reconnect your DSP from the Settings menu.
