Authoritative rules explaining how StrmFarm responds to copyright complaints, intellectual property concerns, and infringement reports.
1. Purpose
StrmFarm respects the intellectual property rights of artists, songwriters, record labels, publishers, rights holders, Digital Streaming Providers (“DSPs”), and other creators.
This Copyright Policy explains how StrmFarm responds to copyright complaints, intellectual property concerns, and infringement reports relating to the Services.
This Policy forms part of the StrmFarm Terms of Service.
2. StrmFarm’s Role
StrmFarm is a music discovery and engagement platform.
Except where expressly stated otherwise, StrmFarm:
- Does not own music catalogs.
- Does not license music to listeners.
- Does not host commercial music for playback.
- Does not replace supported DSPs.
- Does not claim ownership of third-party copyrighted works.
Music playback available through StrmFarm is delivered through supported third-party Digital Streaming Providers under their respective licenses and agreements.
3. Intellectual Property Ownership
All copyrights, trademarks, artwork, recordings, musical compositions, metadata, logos, names, and other intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.
Nothing within the Services transfers ownership of any intellectual property to users.
4. Respecting Copyright
Users, artists, campaign creators, and other participants must respect the intellectual property rights of others.
You may not:
- Upload or submit material you do not have the right to use.
- Misrepresent ownership of music or other copyrighted works.
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of others.
- Use copyrighted content in violation of applicable law.
- Submit false copyright claims.
5. Artist Profile Claims
Verified artist profiles may only be claimed by individuals or organizations authorized to represent the applicable artist.
As part of the verification process, StrmFarm may request documentation or other evidence confirming authority to manage an artist profile.
Submitting false or misleading information during the verification process may result in denial of the claim, suspension, or termination of platform access.
6. Copyright Complaints
If you believe material or activity on StrmFarm infringes your copyright, you may submit a copyright complaint to StrmFarm.
A complaint should include, where applicable:
- Identification of the copyrighted work.
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material.
- Information sufficient for us to locate the material.
- Your contact information.
- A statement that you believe the use is unauthorized.
- A statement that the information provided is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder.
StrmFarm may request additional information before taking action.
7. Review Process
Upon receiving a copyright complaint, StrmFarm may:
- Review the submitted information.
- Request additional documentation.
- Temporarily restrict affected content or features.
- Remove or disable access to material where appropriate.
- Reject incomplete or unsupported complaints.
- Take additional action consistent with applicable law and platform policies.
Submission of a complaint does not guarantee removal of content or immediate enforcement.
8. Repeat Infringement
Users who repeatedly infringe the intellectual property rights of others may be subject to enforcement actions, including:
- Educational warnings.
- Temporary restrictions.
- Feature suspension.
- Account suspension.
- Permanent account termination.
StrmFarm reserves the right to determine appropriate enforcement based on the nature and severity of the conduct.
9. Third-Party Services
Music available through supported DSPs remains subject to the rights, licenses, and policies of the applicable provider and rights holders.
Questions relating to music licensing, catalog availability, royalty payments, or content ownership should generally be directed to the relevant DSP, distributor, label, publisher, or rights holder.
10. False or Abusive Claims
Knowingly submitting false, misleading, fraudulent, or abusive copyright complaints is prohibited.
StrmFarm may reject abusive claims and take appropriate action against users who misuse the copyright reporting process.
11. Policy Updates
StrmFarm may update this Copyright Policy from time to time to reflect changes in applicable law, platform operations, supported services, or industry practices.
Material updates may be communicated through the Services or other official communication channels.
Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
