Fraud & Anti-Abuse Policy

Authoritative specification for prohibited conduct, fraud detection, multi-level enforcement, reward adjustments, and account bans.

1. Purpose

StrmFarm is committed to maintaining a fair, trustworthy, and authentic music discovery ecosystem for listeners, artists, rights holders, and partners.

This Fraud Policy explains the types of conduct that are prohibited on the platform, how StrmFarm responds to fraud and abuse, and the enforcement actions that may be taken to protect platform integrity.

This Policy should be read together with the Terms of Service, Verification Framework, STRM Points Policy, Transparency Policy, Community Guidelines, and other applicable platform policies.

2. Our Commitment to Platform Integrity

Platform integrity is fundamental to StrmFarm.

Our systems are designed to:

  • Promote authentic listener engagement.
  • Protect artists and campaign creators.
  • Prevent manipulation of platform features.
  • Ensure fair reward distribution.
  • Maintain confidence in music discovery.
  • Support a healthy and sustainable ecosystem.

Fraud undermines these goals and will not be tolerated.

3. What Is Fraud?

For the purposes of this Policy, fraud includes any intentional attempt to manipulate, deceive, exploit, or interfere with the Services, verification systems, campaign systems, reward programs, or other platform functionality to obtain an unfair advantage.

Fraud may involve individual users, groups, organizations, automated systems, or coordinated activity.

4. Prohibited Conduct

The following activities are prohibited, including but not limited to:

4.1 Artificial Playback

You may not:

  • Artificially inflate playback activity.
  • Use bots, scripts, macros, or automation.
  • Simulate listening activity.
  • Manipulate playback sessions.
  • Attempt to bypass verification requirements.

4.2 Multi-Account Abuse

You may not:

  • Create multiple accounts to gain additional rewards.
  • Circumvent platform limits.
  • Share accounts to exploit platform features.
  • Use accounts created on behalf of others for abusive purposes.

Legitimate users may be subject to reasonable account and device limitations to protect platform integrity.

4.3 Coordinated Stream Farming

You may not organize, participate in, or facilitate any activity intended to artificially increase:

  • Verified streams.
  • Campaign performance.
  • Listener engagement.
  • Platform rewards.
  • Artist metrics.

This includes coordinated stream farming, reward-sharing schemes, click farms, automation services, or similar activities.

4.4 Campaign Abuse

Campaign creators may not:

  • Create misleading campaigns.
  • Attempt to manipulate campaign outcomes.
  • Abuse reward allocation systems.
  • Circumvent campaign review processes.
  • Use campaigns for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.

Campaigns must comply with the Artist Campaign Policy and all applicable platform rules.

4.5 Reward Manipulation

Users may not attempt to obtain STRM Points through dishonest or abusive means, including:

  • Verification circumvention.
  • Artificial engagement.
  • Coordinated abuse.
  • Exploiting technical issues.
  • Abuse of promotional features.

Only eligible, verified participation may qualify for rewards.

4.6 Identity Misrepresentation

You may not:

  • Impersonate another person or organization.
  • Falsely claim ownership of an artist profile.
  • Misrepresent your identity during artist verification.
  • Submit fraudulent verification documents.

Verified artist status is granted only after successful completion of StrmFarm’s verification process.

4.7 Security Abuse

You may not:

  • Attempt unauthorized access to the Services.
  • Interfere with platform security.
  • Exploit software vulnerabilities.
  • Reverse engineer confidential platform systems.
  • Circumvent security controls.

Responsible vulnerability disclosure should be submitted through the appropriate security reporting process.

5. Fraud Detection

StrmFarm uses automated systems and, where appropriate, human review to identify suspicious activity.

To protect platform integrity, we do not disclose:

  • Detection methods.
  • Risk models.
  • Internal thresholds.
  • Scoring systems.
  • Security signals.
  • Investigation procedures.
  • Enforcement triggers.

The absence of public disclosure does not limit StrmFarm’s ability to investigate or enforce this Policy.

6. Investigations

Where potentially fraudulent activity is identified, StrmFarm may:

  • Review account activity.
  • Review campaign activity.
  • Review playback history.
  • Review verification outcomes.
  • Conduct technical investigations.
  • Request additional information where appropriate.
  • Temporarily restrict platform functionality during an investigation.

Participation in an investigation does not imply wrongdoing.

7. Enforcement

Where violations are identified, StrmFarm may take one or more enforcement actions, including:

  • Educational warnings.
  • Temporary restrictions.
  • Suspension from specific features.
  • Removal from the STRM Points Program.
  • Campaign suspension or removal.
  • Reward adjustments or reversals.
  • Permanent account suspension.
  • Permanent account termination.
  • Referral to law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required by law.

Certain serious violations may result in immediate permanent enforcement without prior warning.

8. Appeals

Where an appeal process is available, users may request a review of certain enforcement actions.

Appeals may be considered for:

  • Account suspensions.
  • Campaign enforcement actions.
  • Verification decisions resulting from technical errors.
  • Other eligible platform actions.

Certain decisions involving platform security, repeated fraud, or severe abuse may not be eligible for appeal.

Submitting an appeal does not guarantee reversal of an enforcement decision.

9. Cooperation with Rights Holders & Authorities

Where required by law or appropriate to protect the platform, StrmFarm may cooperate with:

  • Rights holders.
  • Digital Streaming Providers.
  • Regulatory authorities.
  • Law enforcement agencies.
  • Courts or other competent legal authorities.

Such cooperation will be carried out in accordance with applicable law and our Privacy Policy.

10. Policy Updates

StrmFarm may update this Fraud Policy from time to time to reflect changes in platform operations, fraud risks, legal requirements, or industry best practices.

Material changes may be communicated through the Services or other official communication channels.

Continued use of the Services after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.

In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service will govern unless otherwise required by applicable law.
